Spalding Rotary is active in many areas, from organising charity events to sponsoring local youth opportunities.

People join Rotary for many reasons. Often they want to put something back into their community. The most valuable thing anyone can give is time.

Of course, some members can give more time than others, simply because family and work must take priority.

Our Club meets weekly when we enjoy lunch together and keep ourselves up to date on the many projects being carried out by the Club and its members.

There are many other projects the Club supports and the programme of projects changes from year to year. Of course Rotary Clubs are at their most visible when collecting money for charity.

Among the gifts given to benefit local organistions are:

• £1,500 to Barnardo’s
• £1,000 to Imperial Cancer Research
• £1,000 to Spalding Scouts and Guides
• £1,000 to Riding for the Disabled
• £1,000 to special projects in local schools
• plus many, many more gifts.

All this depends on the support of local people and local businesses.

The Rotary Club of Spalding is very grateful for the support it receives which enables such worthwhile projects to be undertaken at a local, national and international level.
